The howl had Aviana lifting her head, and her ears perked. It seemed the borders were busy lately. Tail wagging, she lifted herself from the mouth of her den, her gaze checking on Faye before she headed for the borders. She hated leaving her daughter, but Faye seemed to be settling in better the last week or so.
She approached the borders with her head and tail held high. She had to consciously think about keeping them that way, as it didn't come naturally to her. The other wolf came into view, and Aviana stopped several yards from her. Hello, I'm Aviana, the leader here. How can I help you? she asked politely.
