She clarified some things, which actually made things easier for Dingo. He had thought she lived here with her whole family — that would've sucked majorly, because he was not the type of guy who you  bring home to meet the parents, he was more the kind you wine, dine, and have a good time with. He stashed that little bit of information in the back of his mind.

Dalia went on the agree to other things — helping him, which he desperately wanted, or appeared to. His ruse was working perfectly and as soon as she agreed to show him around, he was imagining all the sights and sounds they'd see together; he wanted this to be a long con, because that was the best way to get in to somebody's pants. Get them to love you, share what they want to share with you, and then when he's finished he'll move on, like all the other times. Admittedly, it had been a while since Dingo had gotten to share in the graces of any ladies... He was lusting for it, and that likely characterized his current behavior.

He was just desperate. 

It wasn't a good excuse, and he wasn't about to admit it to himself, but Dingo was truthfully a very lonely man. This girl had something he wanted and he knew how to get it. But the long con he should've gone with? That wouldn't cut it this time.

As soon as she turned around he thought of lunging, of just getting it over with — he saw a flash of potential there. Imagining her pinned against the forest floor with him gripped over her, their warmth becoming one, the gasps of her pain becoming gasps of pleasure — the images flashed so quickly but the effect was immediate. He followed after her with a stiff-legged gait, hoping that while she was leading the way she wouldn't notice the state of his groin.
