The sound of the stranger's voice did not elicit much of a reaction from him. He stood silently while the other wolf ran his mouth, feeling a strong desire to frown and let confusion reign across his marred face, but he managed to keep himself stoic until the messages were relayed — none of which made much sense to Firefly, who hadn't met anyone besides Illidan and his black-capped mother. The man listened but he was also studying the stranger too, sizing him up, feeling like he was looking at a mirror image of himself (minus all the ugly scarring), which sent Firefly's mind on to a tangent of other thoughts — did he act this way once? Did he ever resemble this wolf? They were not familiar (but then again, not much was familiar to the traveler).

His ears twitched at the mention of turf. It struck him as odd that someone would wander this deep in to foreign territory in order to give a casual fuck you to the residents. Something about that stirred irritation within Firefly, and his expression turned a touch colder as he processed. Once there was silence, he interjected: You done? He looked utterly bored. Illidan had mentioned he might be needed to defend the territory but this didn't feel like it qualified; he felt like he was being berated by some punk kid, and it played in to his lack of sleep. (Glossing over the fact that Verx was clearly an adult, and Fly-Boy here was more of a kid, oops.)

He snorted a derisive little noise and abruptly turned around. As he began to stride away from the idiot, Firefly blurted, Piss off. What did this guy expect? A fight? Oof, maybe a nap first.
