But suddenly her whole body tingled with something like euphoria.

"You mean a lot to me too," she admitted. "I don't want to go anywhere in particular. I just..." She paused, assessing the situation and studying Tegan's face. Should she? "I thought maybe I'd like to travel one day—really travel, like, stay on the road a while—and I thought you might come with me. I mean, I'd only go if you came with me. But if you don't wanna do that, then..." Then she wouldn't go without him. Bat shrugged, recognizing it as the truth even as the words left her mouth.
