Yes, it has been, thankfully, uneventful,he added, turning back to the river. He and the rest of the plateau wolves had suffered enough to last for a long time; he just hoped the universe agreed with him on that. Kavik still wasn't fully convinced he wasn't cursed. He was almost certain the plateau held the same curse, and he constantly racked his brain to find whatever he had done to bring about such misfortune. Obviously he knew that sometimes bad things just happened, but it seemed that only bad things had happened from the moment they claimed the plateau to the moment it crumbled to pieces around him.
