Liffey couldn't help but smile at her friend. He was clearly still bewildered by her commentary, but she wasn't sure how exactly to explain any better. Pregnancy was a crazy time in a woman's life, especially for her. She really didn't know how to make someone understand who hadn't personally gone through it. Maybe she could have Rannoch talk to him and explain it from a compassionate outsider's perspective.

His question made her laugh. "No, no, not at all," she said, looking apologetic, "I'm just being hyperbolic. I just mean they're about as big as they're going to get inside of me and there's no room left for them to get any bigger. Which means, it's time to come out and start growing out here."
