She snorted, walking away from him. She didn't want his company anyway -- well, a little bit but she could think clearer without his southern drawl smothering her thoughts. She pulled a face and kept walking. She didn't look back, she knew he probably wouldn't follow. Even if he did he'd not talk to her. Probably stand watching from a way off as she looked for plants.

The forest would be good for plants, she supposed. The wood died quickly and that let nutrients into the ground for new things to grow or something. If she died, the things she ate would be put back into the ground. She's seen it around kill sites.
