Gannet was thoughtfully silent as always today as he shifted among the trees, though today was heavy on the thoughtful. It wasn't an upset sort of thoughtful, just a steadying one, brought about by some of the conversations these last few weeks.
He needed to take a trip soon to learn more, and he'd need to let Mona and Ashlar know. He'd tell Rannoch too.
It was the scent of it that led him to her, and as soon as he caught it, he tabled that thought train.
What happened?He asked the girl as soon as he spotted her, likely startling as he appeared from the shadows of the trees. But there was only concern in his voice and face, nothing else.
