Shadewood we are made of starstuff

He peeped like a baby bird in response to her tears and she laughed, the sound causing a burst of air to part his fur. She quickly brushed it back into place with her maw and sighed softly "You're right. Let's just be happy and content with one another's presence" of course for all she knew he could have squeaked that he wanted her to groom him to sleep or something of that sort but for now she was content to fill in any blanks. She rest her muzzle on her forepaws, chin angled so that she held him securely against her chest while she closed her eyes. She would rest now....


But the feeling of her happy baby boy awake and close kept her awake. She opened her eyes again and smiled, feeling mischievous. Gently she moved him away and with a firm nudge she rolled him to his back. She gazed down at her blind child and then buried her maw in his belly, blowing and nibbling on the tender spot "I'm gonna eat you all up! I can't help it, you're just so cute!" she gushed, quickly glancing around to make sure nobody was spying on her moment of silly goofy mush.
