There was no such thing as fighting dirty by Kiwi's estimation... a trick was a trick, and the only ones to call it that were just angry because they were stupid enough to fall for it.  So she smiled and nodded.

That was interesting.  So it was the weakest link who had ruined their chances at the cougar, it sounded like.  If they hadn't worried so much about the one caught, maybe they would have been able to beat it while it was distracted.  Kiwi wondered if when she ever tried it, she should let the "surprised" wolf be the bait.

Sounds hard, she responded, because she was surprised to hear three on one with anything could be vested.  She at least knew how Niamh fought.  Not at all like this.  Who was the one who got surprised?
