She wanted to argue, so so badly, even though she knew she was wrong.  She'd liked Wraen, though now doubtless she was stupidly loyal to Colt now.  And she was too tired to argue further because it was taking all she had not to collapse here and let that be the end of it.

Somehow she managed to get herself to the place Wraen saw.  Kiwi had her faults, but determination was fortunately something she had in spades, especially when it meant not embarrassing herself in front of a rival.  Her breathing was a rattling and labored gasp by the end, but she slithered into the crevice and slid to the ground.  She could have cried, she was so ready to lie down.

He deserved it, she finally said, breaking the silence with the soft mumble.  She didn't need to explain herself, of course she was in the right.  Yet something made her say it.
