Whitefish River been a liar, been a thief

Wow! was the latest fixation. Not that she had any clue what it meant. She shouted it at whatever and whoever wanted to hear while her clumsy oversized paws found themselves a way through this world.

Once, she had been a mighty king; that much she remembered. Falling, falling, falling, but not before climbing very high. Would she climb that high again? Would she know how to, in this body, with this new mind, where every day she was losing more and more of the memories of what it was like to be that king?

She stood with a proud arrogance that might have reminded that king's mother of him, were she still alive to see it. With a wild wow!! the child roared and pounced at a passing butterfly, darting by on its way. She missed it, fell to the ground on her back, yipped excitedly and then pranced forward again, ready to go for another catching attempt.
