"It doesn't seem fair," she said slowly, "trying to kill it while it's stuck like that." Sugar wasn't sure how to explain any better than that. Any other predator would've seen the situation as advantageous, a stroke of good fortune and an easy meal. But it felt unsportsmanlike to the youth, although she wasn't aware of that term.
