The scent of the moose was so strong that even the resident omega was drawn from the dark forest; he had not slept well the day or night before, plagued by hunger and the stress of his position, so when he took notice of the queen departing for a surrounding territory he sought her out. There was work to be done. He was exhausted, but he still had much to learn from her.
When the scent hit him he became something else, though. The skittering spider-limbed boy grew bold in his need, striding with purpose as he rounded upon where Hydra waited; he saw the other boy too, a warm darkness with sharp eyes.
Hungry though he was, Tye drew back, falling in to place behind the two wolves at quite a distance. He did not know how the queen would react to his presence outside of the territory; he did not want to draw her ire, and he did not know what to expect of this other boy - there was an agitated halo of energy around him which Tye keenly picked up on.
