nikai, he introduced himself as. the name is quickly committed to memory; she doubts she'll forget him anytime soon. besides the missing limb, the spots scattered loosely across his features are unique. a shake of her head at his question, a vague motion northward. "I was born in Diaspora." elaborations on where it lies are forgotten. 

"a coach?" she echoes, head canting a fraction. "what's that?" there is some disappointment when he reveals he's not the sparring partner she'd been hoping for (how desperately she wants to impress the queen) but it is overtaken fairly swiftly by curiosity.
