how long ago had it all happened, how long ago had she been separated from the girls that had gone through it with her? ah, did it matter anymore? she was free, she was able to do as she please. the only trouble with that was, she did not know what she pleased. how does one forget their entire life, how does one live free when born into enslavement? her body still moved with the grace of a dancer, her actions were still controlled by her training and the many corrections she went through.
oh, but there was one thing she gravitated towards at her own whim. her tiny paws moved with their own accord and the sound of the waves crashing reached her coyote-like ears, that was something she could never hate. the ocean, the sea, the feel of sand between her toes, and the bite of salt that stung her nostrils. mismatched eyes stared out on the crystal clear water that seemed to stretch out forever, the water lapping at her toes. for this moment she could forget everything, forget herself.
