An abrupt curse of discontent broke the still silence of the dense woods, the repetitive snaps and pops of twigs and small branches closely following suit. Though lithe and agile in form, Shad was having quite the time attempting to navigate his way through this particular area. Brambles caught and tugged at his multi-colored pelt; some scratched at his long legs, others either pulled out his fur, or his fur pulled out the twigs until his spiked scruff was riddled with gnarled briars.
At first when the grim male had just entered the wood, the thick underbrush had been fairly tolerable. Now, however, his frustration seemed to intense with every step. Being rather new to the area, Shad was uncultured in the landmarks of this land and quite honestly had little to no clue as to where he was, or where he should go in order to escape the pesky briars.
If only he could find a deer run, or at least some sort of clear passage out of this forest.
