Whitefish River Bump In The Night

Her scent remained in his mind. The calming scent of lavender guided his path, dimly lit in the night. It was seemingly more difficult to track her this evening than it had been a few days prior. It still smelled of her but something was tainting the soothing smell. Not yet close enough to her he couldn't put his claw on it.

He soon came across her. Her dark pelt nearly masking her presence within the night. Her eyes distinguishing her from the void of light. Once visible, he took a few confident trots in her direction "Heee....." before stopping in his tracks a few yards away. Now close the smell hit him like a wall of bricks causing his greeting to get lost in his throat. 

It was a smell he knew well, though it was different for each female. She was receptive and Howl become very cautious. Things were often heightened in these situations for both parties involved. Feelings of longing, anger, and joy all exaggerated. He tried his best to keep a level head and his distance. Lightly huffing his throat "Hello".
