She gasped when she saw him, immediately rushing to stand over him even as Sugar shouted, "Bronco!" She quickly assessed him with eyes and nose, finding no broken bones or even skin, plus no signs of blood. She could tell that he was struggling to catch his breath and it made Sugar's ribs twinge sympathetically. Hopefully it was just a matter of having the wind knocked out of him, maybe some bruising, and nothing more.

Sinking down beside him, Sugar realized she was trembling. "I think you just saved my life," she whispered, putting her muzzle to his temple. "Are you okay? Does anything hurt?"
