Neither of them could say a proper word, but that would come in with due time as the girls would soon be able to speak words more clearly. For now, they were reduced to squeaks and attempts at comprehendible words.

But he loved them both all the same, "well it was an attempt," he chuckled warmly at the two girls, "you will learn to speak in due time, for now, both of you have to stay in here where it is safe before you can venture off," he smiled lovingly at them. The giant would always protect and keep a close eye on his young, he just wouldn't know what to do or think if something happened to them.
