She stood at the edge of a cliff, overlooking the sea, her gaze unfocused. The frigid air buffeted against her, tousling her lank white fur, scented with salt. Haunt didn't react to it. The young she-wolf hadn't reacted to much of anything since that fateful day on the moraine. She'd been catatonic ever since, in fact.
Something moved, she saw it out of the corner of her eye. She didn't turn toward it or acknowledge it it any way. She kept staring at the gray, wintry sky over the dark sea, yellow eyes distant and dull.
