And he was in the right protocol for that answer, because in his haste from avoiding the humans, he had easily slipped over the border, being careful not to have a single hair of his not touch a tree, fallen log, grass, dirt, branch, or anything else that could lead a trail back to him, whether it be searching bloodhounds, or other wolves.
But at the mention of his current location, the recon considered turning 180° and bolting for the nearby border.
