A sharp young voice stopped the warrior in his tracks.
Foxfur glanced toward the figure with a modicum of surprise. He hadn’t expected for there to be many others so close to the mesa clan. He also did not anticipate he might run into any who were under a year of age. This young girl had grown into a more comfortable size, but she was not an adult.
Foxfur motioned toward Akashingo with a small squint in his gaze. It was, at least, a reason for walking blindly. When he returned the worn brown of his eyes to the young woman, he attempted a feeble but tired smile. The warrior wondered what she was doing alone, no scent of a clan upon her, but he knew that he had enough to worry about.
