By midafternoon Hotah had finished his daily responsibilities, herbs had been collected and stored, cashes filled, borders searched and marked. The remainder of the day was free to be capitalized on, Rye was eager to take full advantage of his newfound extra time. It was no second thought when the father thought to share his time with his son. To the man, it felt like small eternities had come and gone since he last spent quality time with his boy. Guilt and regret ailed him but he knew what little use there was in trying to change the past, now he needed to be the change he wanted.
Rye peered into the air, noticing distant black clouds looming in the northern sky, they looked fat and heavy with rain. The man huffed, irritated by natures ill-timed weather but the wind was calm, there was still a hopeful few hours left in the day before the rain took over. The father lifted his nose and howled for his son, @Sikuliak. Assuming his son was at the den, Rye began making his way there but kept an eye out in case his son was closer than he thought.
