Alpine Lake solace

A great distance below him, a golden canid form emerged at the lakeside. They caught his eye. Their lanky build and wispy long fur struck him as odd.

Not any type of wolf he had ever come across in his young life. Brows pinching and eyes stern, he clambered down a naturally carved path, taking him slightly closer. He called out in a short, deep sound to get their attention.
