Whitefish River the big life

I just like the smell of lavender, she frivolously replied. There was wariness in this brute's eyes, something Tethys was feeding off of to fuel her flirty but snarky sort of behavior.

She had never heard of such a thing- there were kings, queens, their subordinates... princesses like her who were born to be groomed for the alpha role. But this greyish brown creature was full of humble pride as he recited some sundry beliefs about being a knight. She was charmed.
Tethys' tail lowered, crouching slightly to flick water. Crystal droplets sailed in an arched trajectory as she replied to his little parable.

I've never heard of knights, so some of that was lost on me. But I'm sure you can prove yourself to someone. Blue eyes twinkling with mischief, the female added something else. How can we test how good of a knight you are?
