Shadewood outside the norm

The red man seemed afraid at first, and then visibly relaxed. This caused Ulrich to relax as well, now that he knew the man was not going to attack him. At least, he thought not.

I am Ulrich, he said, dipping his head in greeting.

"What place is this? Is it yours?"

Ah, no, Ulrich replied, quickly. No, I have never ventured here before. He glanced around a little more now that he was no longer tracking the stranger. It's... a bit spooky, isn't it? He had been in spookier places, but these dark woods filled him with some unease all the same. He did not like forests with trees so close together that he could not see the sky.
