All Welcome
She felt as wide as she did tall and each step her body rolled with it. There was no more sultry grace in her step. Now it was an elephant waddle with disgrace. There was no easy way to move about the pack lands. There was no way she could even hardly leave her den site. She felt huge and uncomfortable and just last night, the pain had begun. Just gentle harsh reminders that her entire life was about to be changed, and the children were coming ready or not.

She felt they were ready. Their den was dug. Caches were filled. Now it was up to her to get past the last hurdle. The last hurrah. To help the children that nestled tightly in her womb, come and meet their father and the world. Were she a liar, she would say she couldn't wait, but a small part of her was scared thoughtless and too, what would their precious beauties make of such a world. Could they show them a better world than her parents showed her. She certainly hoped so.

it was with this hope and a rollicking waddle she moved from the den site to flop into the open air, allowing the sun to caress along her distended sides. As ripple after rippled moved the fur and flesh. The children rolling, ready.
