Mother came to the rescue! 

It did not take long. And soon, Chiro was back to resting alongside both mother and sister.

Like Chani, she did not quite understand what babble came from mother. But it sounded pleasant to the ears! In fact, she too wanted to sound this way! Though, when she attempted it, all but a hiss and grumble—gurgled, inarticulate, sounds came as a result. 

This frustrated Chiro. Why could she not sound like mother??
