The first time he had run into the young freckled mistress, she had been hunting for herbs. The last time he saw her, she had been hunting for pleasure. Marcus had let her starve that day. Not in the way of food, as he had provided for her a squirrel. But he withheld from her a 'good time'.  

But now he missed the heat, the way he could feel it rise from her while she arched beneath him. A pang of regret was felt as Marcus thought of her willingness. No doubt if he ever saw her again, she would be upset. Just because he liked to play drawn out games, doesn't mean others did.
