He nodded, backing away from her savage advance but not flinching. Part of him still liked the outcome. He got a rise out of her, and for a moment in more ways than one. He would take care of himself later in light of the events.
Marcus shrugged off her hostility, having no real emotional connection to the girl. He did not wish her ill, but had no issue in turning tail to leave with not a word to spare.
