He snouted her and returned to the female and her alpha. He stopped at a prudent distance and circled the ground several times, flattening the grass as if he were going to sleep, and carefully left the leaf in that place.

He accepted defeat from him, but he would not let the female forget him so easily. He met her eyes as he pushed the blade a little in her direction, not daring to move closer. Then he looked away and, turning, walked away.
