okay, so, muat-riya had a pet cat. inji did not question it. rumors were spread that the feline was some sort of goddess, which the fellahin, frankly, paid no mind to.
she stayed on its good side, though. just in case.
and so when a rather disconcerting yowl came ringing from the outskirts of the cenote, followed by a voice inji had never heard before, she could not deny the concern that bubbled. and, unlucky for the roaming cowgirl, she'd been caught by the wrong person at the wrong time.
she'd arrived just in time to see a shadowy figure bolt into the night, and a rather frazzled-looking felid in her place. for a moment she hoped it could be talisman making a return until she remembered — talisman did not sound like that.
so, naturally, whether or not she is acknowledged, inji follows the divots in the sand; and, spurred on by hormonal rage, she shouts:
