sunset looked up at her. of course it won't fight back! it's a pelt. he'd say if any part of that he understood.

his kissed her muzzle as she bent it near, tail thumping against the floor of her den. someday, perhaps, he'd sing to her in all the words that were special to her! he made a note to double his efforts to learn. it would take a while, but it was worth it. to someday talk to her... that was a dream he worked hard to make reality.
