He paused in front of her, then sat and leaned forward, pressing his nose to the side of her neck. He could smell wounds and his lips twitched into a slight frown. He wondered if anything was broken.

"What injuries did you sustain, bear fighter?" he wondered, glancing over at Blue Willow in case she happened to have an inventory handy. "How long does she have to stay here before she can come home?" More directly to Finley, he added, "I guess, more importantly, how are you feeling, you dipstick?"
