And so a tentative discussion began on upcoming hunt grounds for winter—while any of the territories were neutral, Scimitar still desired to steer clear of a fight with The Sunspire wolves. The less resources and time they wasted on them, the better – and vice versa.

“Wapun Meadow is close to us and is a location of choice for many,” he decided then, knowing it easier for the wolves of Swiftcurrent Creek to reach the area than The Sunspire, if only because the wolves of the Creek did not have heights to climb and descend. “Duck Lake as well.” He silenced then, waiting to see what she had to say of this – after all, his true hope was the lands he currently live din would be enough to sustain by themselves alone.. but if the herds branched off, hopefully they did not slip too close to the foothills of the mountains, for neither pack leader would let their members starve.

Thus was the reason the Creek wolves held discomfort at how close the mountain wolves had settled.
