@Athens had left her—@Tawodi was off checking on him since his departure—which meant she and her companion were on their own…again. It wasn’t the solitude that made her a little less enthusiastic about her journey, it was the lingering want for the male’s presence, the calm that came with him, and it appeared that she would not feel that for some time. Or, ever, again. 

It was also why she had yet to leave the Vale in the mountains; she hoped for his return, but it was foolish. His words still rang in her ears:

I won't do this.

He would not return to her, so Tawodi will find her if she were to move off from the Vale.

She had been in the southern most part of the Vale awaiting the hawk’s return when she heard a call, one with a promise of home, stability, and others.

What would happen if she heeded the call? There was nothing really out here in the Wilds for her, so what would she have to lose?

Her feet moved her down from the mountains to meet the voice in the Hollow.
