Following his encounter with the seal hunter, Kyrell left the hunting grounds to return to the camps. Threading through the thickets and mingling bodies of wolves from near and far, he stopped in the bustling Moonglow camp. He spent several breaths watching the wolves that flit about the encampment. Like a beehive, wolves from the spine as well as the wolves that came to lend their abilities prepared for the impending hunt. Beyond them the air thrummed with chatter in the surrounding camps. An indecipherable yet low, constant hum that spoke of the many lives that converged to make the event possible.

The woodsman closed his eyes briefly to drink in the sound. Steadying despite the thrill and anticipation that so wished to drum his heart.
