So many newcomers, it seemed like she came across a new scent every second day. The pack had exploded in popularity recently – though Pukei figured she shouldn't be surprised, seeing as winter was right around the corner. She remembered it was around this time when she had dispersed from her own pack, and it had been tough going for a while as berries succumbed to frost and all the smaller creatures hid deep underground to escape the cold.

The thought made her stomach growl.

Spinning on her heel, the Xi redirected her path towards a nearby cache, figuring she would make use of one of the benefits of living the pack-life. Not that she contributed much to their food stores but hey, she did other stuff to help! Finding one, she then began digging in earnest, growing all the more hungry as she did so.
