I hurt myself because I saw my dad making nice with a wolf from here." Junior swallowed the lump in her throat, then clarified, "I sliced open my own legs."

"Then I got an infection," she continued hastily, not wanting to linger on that part. "I need Blue Willow's resources. She's a great Healer but she's not Wonder Woman. She had to divide her attention and her medications. That's wrong. Dad should be the one taking care of his pack mate, not us. It wasn't fair to have to share my pack's medic with a rival.
