Once she had chewed and swallowed properly, she nudged the raccoon back toward him, her tongue flicking across her maw. Unease still gnawed at her, partaking in a kill she hadn’t earned never sat well, but she reminded herself to accept his kindness without disrespect. Thank you, she murmured softly.
