Kirain's heart ached for Mictec, imagining the suffering she might have endured as a result. Questions burned on her tongue, but she held them back, uncertain if asking would be appropriate.

“These birds are rather accommodating,” she said softly, trying to shift the mood. “I’ve just been wandering. No real goal in mind, no place to return to. Just… enjoying what nature has to offer.” Her voice, though steady, carried a quiet weariness. She hoped the explanation would suffice, even if it didn’t feel entirely honest. Truthfully, she had no purpose. The emptiness it left behind gnawed at her, leaving her hollow and tired, desperate for something, anything, to fill the void.
