With her task complete, Leto had found herself swelling with pride. She had managed to take on not one but two men, and now she would provide Verapaz with the first of what she hoped to be many litters.
A silent part of her thanked her mother; six litters and twenty-one pups, now that was nothing to spit at. She only hoped that such luck would pass on to her.
Her orders now she thought to be quite simple — suitable to her. Leto was glad for something where she could sit, for already she was beginning to feel new pains and sensations that she had never felt before; from watching her mother she knew it would likely get worse as time passed.
