Mood sour and paws sore, she had come to the pass to begin digging out a den for herself and her children. She would need more room than what she had for herself in the basin, though she was not sure just how much; they would be small for a while, but puppies grew quickly. Along with that, she had no idea of just how many there may be.
Soft growls rang through the air of the winter afternoon as she relentlessly clawed at the dirt. It had been some time since she had done this herself.
