Herbalists' Cache gloom days

the cry of a raven reaches her, before she lays eyes upon the black mountain that joined her hunt. a face unfamiliar, but he carried the scent of saatsine. of her cousin and the star-woman. she recognized the fire in his eyes. approved of it. she met his intense gaze with a knowing look, a dip of her muzzle. 

she hadn't anticipated to hunt alongside him, but together they would rid of the pest. 

they corral the intruder, circling him as if he was nothing more than a rat, and they were the cats. "you steal from our cache. you eat our food." her voice is commanding and sharp. "pest." she spits with venom in doii tongue. 

and a fool, too.

 she moves on a dime, pivoting away from his snapping jaws. rearing up on dense hind legs to crash against him, to hopefully sink teeth into his scruff and pull.
