the raven man wastes no time. a thrill rushes through her veins as her eyes flicker downward, watching the beast tear into the stomach of the rat. blood spills and pools; a glorious mess. a warning that will remain, should there be any other pests that loiter. 

part of her is jealous, as the rat screams and squeals beneath her. part of her wishes she could be the one to gut him like a pig. but the larger part of her swells with pride; the man who fought beside her fought well. a brilliant warrior. she was glad then, to know he was guarding saatsine. 

she is not idle. hawk releases the rat's scruff, only to lunge for its throat. to silence the pathetic noises he makes, to tear the wind wipe from his throat. she thrashes with the strength of an ox, tearing into fur and flesh alike. 

metallic ichor runs down her throat. heavy and putrid, but she relishes the taste. it was a shame the rat could not fight back, but it was a pleasure to rid him of saatsine's grounds. 

teeth gnaw and tear his throat open, searing through flesh. greedily, with grim purpose and desire. the rat's greed met in measure with wrath.
