once the pest goes still and quiet, she spits his throat from her jaws. spits away the fur and flesh that tainted her mouth, his filth unwelcome. eyes of fire regard the mess she and the raven-man had made. it was glorious, and it would serve its purpose as a reminder.
when a paw is extended, she meets it with a bloodied, toothy smile. "and i am black hawk. you fight well, blackfell." praise not so easily given, but he'd certainly earned it. earned her respect. he must've been a fine warrior once, where he hailed. a warrior she would find pride in fighting beside again.
his birds flock to the guts he spills. eager, ravenous. she watches them with admiration perhaps, before he's beckoning her to follow. she does with ease, shaking the remaining tension from her coat, their steps falling in unison.
she listens silently as he speaks. of star-woman, of her cousin. of a tartok woman he distrusts. her brows furrow as she digests it all. nagruk; she does not know this woman, but to know she is a threat to the life within star-woman black hawk pledged to protect, was enough to leave a bitter taste on her tongue. her lips curl, her tail lashes. it seemed star-woman had not one faithful guardian, but now two.
good. if what blackfell spoke of was to be true, she would need it. need them.
"this tartok woman...she wishes to overthrow? to take saatsine?" she rumbled with discontent, trying to piece together the puzzle. "and you speak ill of my cousin..." a part of her, so desperate to cling to her heritage and to protect a fellow doii, is set aside. blackfell had her trust; she would hear his grievances.
"i must ask why." was it something cen had said or done? or something deeper? so many questions now that she needed answers too. but one thing was for certain; whomever this nagruk woman was...she would not succeed. not while she and blackfell stood.
her expression is resolute. "it would be an honor to fight with you again. call upon me, and i will be at your side."
