Breaking through her thoughts, a familiar stranger approached. She was coy momentarily, lightening upon his introduction as her brother.

Maman calls me Séraphine. She spoke, a special emphasis on her own name. She loved the way it sounded rolling off her tongue. Sera did not speak much in the cave, she did not feel she was supposed to, but she had always liked the sound of her own name.
