Sobeille agreed, and Seraphine smiled. Yes, an' we hunt. She agreed. Pouncing on leaves and flowers was already fun, so surely hunting proper prey would not be so different. You be my favourite sister, Sobeille. She followed this with a giggled, sitting down so she could stare up at their creation.

She knew that one day she would understand, but there was no reason to grow quickly. One day when she was older she would understand, and one day Sobeille would no longer be her favourite because she would know that she was the sister to tell Seraphine that maman was truly gone.

But life moved on. It waited for no one, not even Seraphine, and not even their maman.
