Bramblepoint caught herself a somewhere wind

Flee. He chose to flee, thank goodness. It was what Alivia had hoped he would choose. 

He nudged her away from the teetering moose, and she didn't have to be told twice. The pair hustled off upriver, and Alivia tossed a look over her shoulder every now and then, just to check that the beast was staying put. She didn't need any more surprises. 

They followed a bend in the creek, and the moose dropped out of view. Alivia turned her full attention back to her companion. Was he still trying to hunt? Or had he given up? She felt certain that they had probably lost the vamos trail they were following before in their haste to escape. "So.. no vamos, then?" she asked a little woefully.
